HANDPAINTED QUEEN ANNE TABLE

Dit tafeltje heb ik via marktplaats. Het onderstel heb ik "warm  black" van Abondanza geschilderd. Het blad met krijtverf van Annie Sloan.

Het tafeltje heeft een mooi sierlijk model.

Such an elegant model. 

Op de bovenkant heb ik een afbeelding van "The Graphics Fairy" geschilderd.

On the top I handpainted a graphic from "The Graphics Fairy".

Ik gebruikte al eerder afbeeldingen van The Graphics Fairy met behulp van decoupage en verschillende transfermethodes. Deze keer heb ik de afbeelding zelf op het tafeltje geschilderd en daarna doorgeschuurd. Het resultaat mag er zijn, al zeg ik het zelf. 

I had used the graphics from The Graphics Fairy before for decoupage and transfermethods. This time I handpainted the graphic and then sanded it back. I have to say that I am proud of the result. 

Ik heb de afbeelding eerst overgetrokken met carbonpapier

First I copied the graphic with carbon paper.

Daarna heb ik de letters met zwarte verf ingevuld.

After that I filled the letters in with black paint. 

Het bovenblad is hier en daar doorgeschuurd.

The top has been sanded back.

Dit is een van mijn favoriete kleuren van Abondanza.

Het lampje was eerst bronskleurig en is ook geschilderd met warm black.

The lamp, which used to be brass, was also painted with warm black.

SCHATTIG BIJZETTAFELTJE/CUTE LITTLE TABLE

Dit tafeltje komt van de kringloop. Ik vond de vorm perfect dus hij moest mee naar huis. Natuurlijk kreeg hij thuis direct een makeover. En dit is het resultaat.

This table I found at the secondhand store. I loved the model but not the color so I immediately gave it a makeover. This is the result. 

Zo zag hij er dus eerst uit. Ik vond de pootjes zo mooi.

Before, I loved the tablelegs. 

Ik heb de krijtverf van Annie Sloan, kleur Duck Egg Blue, weer gebruikt. Daarna licht doorgeschuurd en afgewerkt met verniswas van Polyvine. Dit geeft het een verouderde look.

Once again I used the Annie Sloan chalk paint, color Duck Egg Blue. Then I distressed the table and finished it with a varnish wax from Polyvine for an antique efect.

Ik ben echt blij met het resultaat. Een schattig bijzettafeltje, wat overal wel past.

BIJZETTAFELTJES/NESTING TABLES

Dit was mijn tweede project met Annie Sloan krijtverf. 

Het ging al beter dan bij het Queen Anne tafeltje maar ik moet toch nog even wennen aan de verf.

Hij is vrij dik en dat zie je ook op de bovenbladen van de tafeltjes.

Het geeft wel een mooi vintage effect.

This was my second project with Annie Sloan chalk paint. 

It went better than the first time with my Queen Anne table.

Although I am still nog used to the thickness of the paint.

Zo zagen ze er eerst uit.

De verf moet altijd afgewerkt worden met een waslaag. De bovenkant ging een beetje vlekken maar uiteindelijk ziet dat er wel leuk uit.

You have to finish the paint with a waxcoat. It turned out a little "patchy" but I like the result.

Een soortgelijk idee zag ik op de Blog Restyle Relove. De cijfersjablonenen heb ik zelf gemaakt.
