Miss Mustard Seed (part two)

Vorige week liet ik jullie mijn eerste probeersels met Miss Mustard Seed Milkpaint zien. Het kastje is inmiddels af en ik ben best blij met het resultaat.  

Last week I showed you my first attempts with Miss Mustard Seed Milkpaint. The little dresser is now ready and I am really proud of the result. 

Ik heb de kleur "Shuttergrey" op het kastje gebruikt. 

I used "Shuttergrey"on the dresser.

Daarna is heb ik het licht doorgeschuurd.

After that I sanded it lightly.

Op de bovenkant heb ik "Artissimo" gebruikt.

On the top I used "Artissimo". 

Het hele kastje is afgewerkt met whitewash.

I finished the whole dresser with whitewash. 

Ik vond het originele beslag er leuk bij passen dus dat heb ik na een grondige reiniging weer teruggeplaatst.

I thought the original hardware looked very nice on it so I put it back after cleaning it thoroughly.

Zo zag het er eerst uit.

Ik had de smaak helemaal te pakken dus ik wilde nog wat experimenteren met de "chippy look". 

I really loved working with the milkpaint so I decided to practice a little bit more, this time with the "chippy look". 

Ik heb dit kistje eerst bewerkt met blanke was en daarna een laag "Artissimo" aangebracht.

First I put some wax on the places where I wanted the paint to come off and than I gave this fruitcrate a layer of the color "Artissimo". 

Om de verf af te laten bladderen heb ik de föhn gebruikt.

To create the Chippy effect I used a hairdryer.

Daarna heb ik weer op sommige plekken was aangebracht en vervolgens een laag "Shuttergrey". 

Then again I put wax on some places and finished it with a layer of "Shuttergrey". 

Ook hier heb ik weer de haardroger gebruikt om de verf te laten bladderen.

This time I also used the hairdryer to create the Chippy effect.

Voor de finishing touch heb ik een transfer van the "Grahpics Fairy" gebruikt.

I used a transfer from "The Graphics Fairy" for the finishing touch. 

Ik ben wel tevreden met het resultaat. Je ziet mooi de 2 kleuren verf door elkaar.

I really like the result of the 2 colors of paint.

TAFELTJE MET FRANS HANDSCHRIFT/SMALL TABLE WITH FRENCH HANDWRITING

Dit mooie tafeltje vond ik bij de kringloop.

I found this beautiful little table at the second-hand store

Geschilderd in "old white" krijtverf van Abondanza.

Painted in "old white" chalkpaint from Abondanza. 

Dit mooie handschrift vond ik op "The Graphics Fairy".

This graphic of a French handwriting is from "The Graphics Fairy". 

Ik heb hem overtrokken en met de hand nageschilderd.

I copied it on the table and then handpainted it. 

Daarna is het hele tafeltje  oorgeschuurd en afgewerkt met lichtbruine boenwas.

For the finishing touch I sanded it back en treated the whole table with brown wax.

Het beslag heb ik vervangen voor deze porseleinen knob.

I replaced the original hardware for this porselain knob.

Op de lade kwam ook nog een stukje tekst.

I wrote something on the drawer too.

Hij is te koop.

This one is for sale.

MOOI BROCANTE KASTJE/BEAUTIFUL VINTAGE CABINET

Dit mooie kastje kreeg ik van een vriendin.

This beautiful cabinet was given to me by a friend.

Zo zag het er eerst uit. Mooie details.

Ik heb het beslag verwijderd en het kastje geschilderd met krijtverf in de kleur old white en daarna met pale sage van Abondanza.

I removed the hardware and painted the cabinet with chalkpaint in the colors old white and pale sage from Abondanza. 

Dit beslag heb ik laten zitten en eroverheen geschilderd.

I left this hardware and painted it. 

Mooie porseleinen knopjes erop.

Nice porcelain knobs.

Ik heb het kastje doorgeschuurd zodat de witte laag er weer doorheen komt.

I sanded everything so you can see the white paint trhough the green layer.

Daarna is het hele kastje afgewerkt met lichtbruine boenwas.

I gave the whole cabinet a finishing touch with a brown wax.

Ik ben heel tevreden over het resultaat.

I am very happy with the result.

Gisteren heb ik met mijn spulletjes op de Ieni Minie Nazomerfair gestaan. Het was een prachtige lokatie en we hadden geboft met het weer. Ik heb leuke mensen ontmoet, waaronder onze gezellige buurtjes. Ook de verkoop verliep goed dus.... voor herhaling vatbaar. 

Yesterday I participated at a late summer fair. We had beautiful weather and the location was great. We met nice people and I did sell quite some stuff so....in future I will try to attend more fairs.

HANDPAINTED QUEEN ANNE TABLE

Dit tafeltje heb ik via marktplaats. Het onderstel heb ik "warm  black" van Abondanza geschilderd. Het blad met krijtverf van Annie Sloan.

Het tafeltje heeft een mooi sierlijk model.

Such an elegant model. 

Op de bovenkant heb ik een afbeelding van "The Graphics Fairy" geschilderd.

On the top I handpainted a graphic from "The Graphics Fairy".

Ik gebruikte al eerder afbeeldingen van The Graphics Fairy met behulp van decoupage en verschillende transfermethodes. Deze keer heb ik de afbeelding zelf op het tafeltje geschilderd en daarna doorgeschuurd. Het resultaat mag er zijn, al zeg ik het zelf. 

I had used the graphics from The Graphics Fairy before for decoupage and transfermethods. This time I handpainted the graphic and then sanded it back. I have to say that I am proud of the result. 

Ik heb de afbeelding eerst overgetrokken met carbonpapier

First I copied the graphic with carbon paper.

Daarna heb ik de letters met zwarte verf ingevuld.

After that I filled the letters in with black paint. 

Het bovenblad is hier en daar doorgeschuurd.

The top has been sanded back.

Dit is een van mijn favoriete kleuren van Abondanza.

One of my favourite colors from Abondanza.

Dit ben ik op die foto, heel lang geleden....

That's me in the picture, a long long time ago.....

Het lampje was eerst bronskleurig en is ook geschilderd met warm black.

The lamp, which used to be brass, was also painted with warm black.
