TAFELTJE MET FRANS HANDSCHRIFT/SMALL TABLE WITH FRENCH HANDWRITING

Dit mooie tafeltje vond ik bij de kringloop.

I found this beautiful little table at the second-hand store

Geschilderd in "old white" krijtverf van Abondanza.

Painted in "old white" chalkpaint from Abondanza. 

Dit mooie handschrift vond ik op "The Graphics Fairy".

This graphic of a French handwriting is from "The Graphics Fairy". 

Ik heb hem overtrokken en met de hand nageschilderd.

I copied it on the table and then handpainted it. 

Daarna is het hele tafeltje  oorgeschuurd en afgewerkt met lichtbruine boenwas.

For the finishing touch I sanded it back en treated the whole table with brown wax.

Het beslag heb ik vervangen voor deze porseleinen knob.

I replaced the original hardware for this porselain knob.

Op de lade kwam ook nog een stukje tekst.

I wrote something on the drawer too.

Hij is te koop.

This one is for sale.

FLESVAZEN/PAINTED BOTTLES (2)

Ik had beloofd om nog wat meer te laten zien van de flessen die ik had gemaakt voor de "Samenloop voor Hoop". Ik heb ze daar verkocht en de opbrengst is naar het KWF gegaan. 

I painted these winebottles myself and sold them at our "Relay for life"  event. The money was of course for the Dutch Cancer Fund. 

Alle flessen zijn geschilderd met krijtverf. Op deze flessen heb ik een afbeelding van de "The Graphics Fairy" geplakt. 

All bottles have been painted with chalkpaint. On these bottles I stuck some images from "The Graphics Fairy". 

Met romantisch zeepetiket, ook van 'The Graphics Fairy". 

With romantic soap label, also from "The Graphics Fairy". 

Deze vaas kun je ook ophangen.

De hartjes zijn ook handgemaakt.

VINTAGE RECLAMEBORDEN/VINTAGE ADVERTISING SIGNS

Van een steigerhouten plank heb ik deze leuke reclameborden gemaakt. 

From scaffolding wood I made these advertising signs.

Eerst heb ik het hout een grey wash gegeven met Abondanza krijtverf.

First I gave the wood a grey wash with chalkpaint.

Daarna heb ik een afbeelding van de Graphics Fairy uitgeprint en met carbonpapier op de plank overgebracht en vervolgens overgeschilderd met zwarte verf. 

Then I printed a graphic from The Graphics Fairy and copied it with carbon paper on the wood. After that I filled in the text with black paint. 

Je bent er even mee bezig maar ik ben best trots op het resultaat.

It takes a while painting it but I am proud of the result. 

Ik heb het bord licht opgeschuurd en afgewerkt met blanke was.

I sanded the sign and finished it with clear wax.

Omdat ik het leuk werk vind heb ik er vandaag nog een gemaakt. 

Because I love the job I made another one today. 

Deze heeft een wash van blauwe en witte krijtverf gehad.

This one had a wash with blue and white chalpaint.

Het was niet echt warm maar ik heb toch heerlijk buiten zitten schilderen.

It wasn't very warm but in spite of that I have been painting outside in the garden. 

Het bord is afgewerkt met grijze was.

I finished this one with grey wax.

HANDPAINTED QUEEN ANNE TABLE

Dit tafeltje heb ik via marktplaats. Het onderstel heb ik "warm  black" van Abondanza geschilderd. Het blad met krijtverf van Annie Sloan.

Het tafeltje heeft een mooi sierlijk model.

Such an elegant model. 

Op de bovenkant heb ik een afbeelding van "The Graphics Fairy" geschilderd.

On the top I handpainted a graphic from "The Graphics Fairy".

Ik gebruikte al eerder afbeeldingen van The Graphics Fairy met behulp van decoupage en verschillende transfermethodes. Deze keer heb ik de afbeelding zelf op het tafeltje geschilderd en daarna doorgeschuurd. Het resultaat mag er zijn, al zeg ik het zelf. 

I had used the graphics from The Graphics Fairy before for decoupage and transfermethods. This time I handpainted the graphic and then sanded it back. I have to say that I am proud of the result. 

Ik heb de afbeelding eerst overgetrokken met carbonpapier

First I copied the graphic with carbon paper.

Daarna heb ik de letters met zwarte verf ingevuld.

After that I filled the letters in with black paint. 

Het bovenblad is hier en daar doorgeschuurd.

The top has been sanded back.

Dit is een van mijn favoriete kleuren van Abondanza.

One of my favourite colors from Abondanza.

That's me in the picture, a long long time ago.....

Het lampje was eerst bronskleurig en is ook geschilderd met warm black.

The lamp, which used to be brass, was also painted with warm black.

KITCHEN ART

Ik ben deze keer eens niet met verf in de weer geweest maar heb wat leuke decoraties gemaakt met jute.

This time I didn't work with paint but I made some decorations with burlap.

Op the site van The Graphics Fairy vond ik deze leuke vintage afbeeldingen.

I found these cute vintage graphics on  "The Graphics Fairy" 

De tekst is er met verf op gesjabloneerd, oké, dus toch een beetje verf gebruikt.

The text was stenciled on the burlap with paint, so I did use paint after all.

Omdat ik toch bezig was en onze dochter afgelopen dinsdag 16 jaar werd heb ik nog een slinger gemaakt met "Sweet 16". 

Since I was busy with the burlap anyway I decided to make this garland with "Sweet 16" on it for the 16th birthday of our daughter past tuesday

Ze heeft een leuke verjaardag gehad maar het grote feest stellen we nog even uit tot in juni. Hopelijk gaat ze dan slagen voor haar VMBO examen en haar broer voor  het VWO.  Het worden dus nog spannende weken. In ieder geval heeft ze vandaag te horen gekregen dat ze aangenomen is op de sportopleiding van CI|OS in Venlo. Ze is er superblij mee en wij ook natuurlijk.

She had a great birthday but the big party has to wait until she and her brother graduate from highschool which we will know in june.
