TAFELTJE IN "WARM BLACK"/LITTLE TABLE IN "WARM BLACK"

Na de Milk Paint projecten nu weer eens een tafeltje wat ik in de krijtverf gezet heb.

After several Milk Paint projects, this time I want to show you a little table which I painted with Chalk Paint.

Before

  

Het bovenblad heb ik helemaal schoongemaakt en gladgeschuurd. Nog een heel karwei.

I cleaned and sanded the top. Heck of a job.  

Het kastje is geschilderd in de kleur "Warm Black" van Abondanza, een mooie kleur vind ik zelf. 

I painted the table in the colour "Warm Black". I like this colour very much.

Daarna heb ik het hier en daar doorgeschuurd.

After that I distressed the whole piece.

Het laatje heb ik blauw geschilderd.

I painted the drawer in a nice blue colour.

Dit knopje vind ik er helemaal bij passen.

I think the knob looks great on it.

Het hele kastje heb ik vervolgens in de Hennepolie gezet.

I finished the whole piece with Hempoil.

Het bovenblad krijgt er een mooie warme gloed van.

The Hempoil gives the top a nice warm glow.

Ik vind het een mooie combinatie zo.

I like the combination of the black with the bare wood.

WIJNTAFELTJE/WINE TABLE

Deze keer weer eens een kringloopopknappertje.

This time I want to show you a redo of this little table from the second-hand store.

Before

Het tafeltje is geschilderd met Miss Mustard Seeds Milk Paint.

I painted the table with Miss Mustard Seeds Milk Paint.

De tekst "Vino" heb ik er met de hand opgeschilderd.

The text "Vino" is handpainted.

Maar je kunt er natuurlijk ook gewoon een kopje koffie op kwijt.

Of course you can also put your cup of coffee on it. 

Nog wat doorgeschuurd hier en daar voor een mooie vintage look....

A little distressing for a nice vintage look......

En daarna afgewerkt met hennepolie.

I finished the whole table with hempoil.

Miss Mustard Seed (part two)

Vorige week liet ik jullie mijn eerste probeersels met Miss Mustard Seed Milkpaint zien. Het kastje is inmiddels af en ik ben best blij met het resultaat.  

Last week I showed you my first attempts with Miss Mustard Seed Milkpaint. The little dresser is now ready and I am really proud of the result. 

Ik heb de kleur "Shuttergrey" op het kastje gebruikt. 

I used "Shuttergrey"on the dresser.

Daarna is heb ik het licht doorgeschuurd.

After that I sanded it lightly.

Op de bovenkant heb ik "Artissimo" gebruikt.

On the top I used "Artissimo". 

Het hele kastje is afgewerkt met whitewash.

I finished the whole dresser with whitewash. 

Ik vond het originele beslag er leuk bij passen dus dat heb ik na een grondige reiniging weer teruggeplaatst.

I thought the original hardware looked very nice on it so I put it back after cleaning it thoroughly.

Zo zag het er eerst uit.

Ik had de smaak helemaal te pakken dus ik wilde nog wat experimenteren met de "chippy look". 

I really loved working with the milkpaint so I decided to practice a little bit more, this time with the "chippy look". 

Ik heb dit kistje eerst bewerkt met blanke was en daarna een laag "Artissimo" aangebracht.

First I put some wax on the places where I wanted the paint to come off and than I gave this fruitcrate a layer of the color "Artissimo". 

Om de verf af te laten bladderen heb ik de föhn gebruikt.

To create the Chippy effect I used a hairdryer.

Daarna heb ik weer op sommige plekken was aangebracht en vervolgens een laag "Shuttergrey". 

Then again I put wax on some places and finished it with a layer of "Shuttergrey". 

Ook hier heb ik weer de haardroger gebruikt om de verf te laten bladderen.

This time I also used the hairdryer to create the Chippy effect.

Voor de finishing touch heb ik een transfer van the "Grahpics Fairy" gebruikt.

I used a transfer from "The Graphics Fairy" for the finishing touch. 

Ik ben wel tevreden met het resultaat. Je ziet mooi de 2 kleuren verf door elkaar.

I really like the result of the 2 colors of paint.

Miss Mustard Seed, eerste project

Nadat ik een leuke workshop Miss Mustard Seed Milkpaint gevolgd had bij The Old Red Barn ben ik afgelopen week begonnen aan mijn eerste projectje. Ik had al wat uitgeprobeerd op een fotolijstje en een steigerhouten plank.

Op zich was ik best tevreden over het resultaat. Tijd voor een iets groter object dus.

Dit tafeltje heb ik al heel lang. Het was ooit eens mijn eerste poging om een "oude verflagen look" na te maken. Ik had nog nooit van krijtverf gehoord, laat staan van milkpaint dus het is gewoon gedaan met zijdeglanslak. Na jaren in de veranda is het uiterlijk trouwens best authentiek geworden. 

En zo is het geworden.

Ik heb de kleur "Shuttergrey" gebruikt. Hij is in werkelijkheid grijzer dan op de foto hierboven. Het leuke van milkpaint is dat het een "chippy-effect" geeft. Ik had het tafeltje vooraf niet geschuurd dus ik had eigenlijk verwacht dat het meer zou bladderen, met behulp van schuurpapier heb ik toch de oude verflagen hier en daar tevoorschijn gehaald en is de verf ook op sommige plekken afgebladderd. Ik vind het er leuk uitzien en het staat weer mooi in de veranda. Op naar het volgende project.

Ik was alweer vergeten een vooraf foto te maken dus het eerste laatje stond al in de verf.

Zo, het eerste verflaagje zit erop. Binnenkort het eindresultaat.

TAFELTJE MET FRANS HANDSCHRIFT/SMALL TABLE WITH FRENCH HANDWRITING

Dit mooie tafeltje vond ik bij de kringloop.

Geschilderd in "old white" krijtverf van Abondanza.

Painted in "old white" chalkpaint from Abondanza. 

Dit mooie handschrift vond ik op "The Graphics Fairy".

This graphic of a French handwriting is from "The Graphics Fairy". 

Ik heb hem overtrokken en met de hand nageschilderd.

I copied it on the table and then handpainted it. 

Daarna is het hele tafeltje  oorgeschuurd en afgewerkt met lichtbruine boenwas.

For the finishing touch I sanded it back en treated the whole table with brown wax.

Het beslag heb ik vervangen voor deze porseleinen knob.

I replaced the original hardware for this porselain knob.

Op de lade kwam ook nog een stukje tekst.

I wrote something on the drawer too.

Hij is te koop.

This one is for sale.
