DEKENKIST/BLANKET CHEST

Mijn laatste project is deze dekenkist, geschilderd in krijtverf.

My latest project is this blanket chest, painted with chalkpaint.

Verrassing......, achter de klep zit lekker veel opbergruimte.

Surprise........, behind the front you'll find a  lot of space.

Ik heb de kleuren "old white" en "Salt" van Abondanza gebruikt.

I used "old white" and "Salt" from Abondanza.

Dit sjabloon maakt het helemaal af.

This template gives this project the finishing touch.

Kleur accent op de voorkant.

Color accent on the front.

Ik ben blij met het eindresultaat. 

I am happy with the result.

ZOMERS WANDKASTJE/WALL CUPBOARD

Ik ben nu al weer een week terug uit Sevilla maar wat mis ik de zon en de warmte. Dus maar even een zonnig blogje vandaag. 

It's already a week ago that I returned from Sevilla but how I miss the sun and the heath. So a sunny post for today.  

Dit kastje heb ik via marktplaats gekocht. 

I bought this little cupboard on E-bay

Ik heb het een zonnig kleurtje gegeven met krijtverf. 

I gave it a sunny color with chalkpaint.

Ik vond het nog een beetje saai toen het klaar was dus heb ik de nummers erin gesjabloneerd.

I felt that it needed something extra when I was done painting so I stenciled the numbers with white paint. 

Daarna heb ik het kastje licht doorgeschuurd en afgewerkt met witte verniswas van Polyvine.

After that I sanded it back and finished it with white varnish wax from Polyvine.

Voor de foto heb ik even wat bootjes en schelpen geleend van de kamer van zoonlief. De houten visjes hangen bij mij in de keuken.

For the photography I borrowed the little boats and shells from my son's room. The wooden fishes are hanging in my kitchen. 

Een leuk kastje voor een zomerhuis aan zee, of in de veranda of voor een kinderkamer of.....

I think it would do great in a summerhouse by the sea, or on the porch, or in a childeren's room, or....

BIJZETTAFELTJES/NESTING TABLES

Dit was mijn tweede project met Annie Sloan krijtverf. 

Het ging al beter dan bij het Queen Anne tafeltje maar ik moet toch nog even wennen aan de verf.

Hij is vrij dik en dat zie je ook op de bovenbladen van de tafeltjes.

Het geeft wel een mooi vintage effect.

This was my second project with Annie Sloan chalk paint. 

It went better than the first time with my Queen Anne table.

Although I am still nog used to the thickness of the paint.

Zo zagen ze er eerst uit.

De verf moet altijd afgewerkt worden met een waslaag. De bovenkant ging een beetje vlekken maar uiteindelijk ziet dat er wel leuk uit.

You have to finish the paint with a waxcoat. It turned out a little "patchy" but I like the result.

Een soortgelijk idee zag ik op de Blog Restyle Relove. De cijfersjablonenen heb ik zelf gemaakt.

I made the number templates myself.

FLESVAASJES/SMALL PAINTED BOTTLES

Deze schattige flesjes stonden al bijna in de glasbak toen ik bedacht dat ik er wel iets leuks mee kon doen. Ze zijn oorspronkelijk van geurstokjes. Ik vind de vorm wel leuk. Ik was afgelopen week toch lekker aan het schilderen dus ik besloot  maar meteen om ze ook even over te kwasten. 

These little bottles, originally from fragrance sticks, were almost thrown away with the garbage when I decided I could give them a makeover. Since I was painting anyway I also gave them a nice babyblue colour.

De nummers zijn erop gesjabloneerd.

I used a template to paint the numbers.

Tulpjes erin!

Don't they look nice with the tulips!
